“A Prescription for Kindness: Oscar Adawu Dadzie’s Donation Boosts Healthcare in Assin Fosu”

Assistant Immigration Control Officer, Mr. Oscar Adawu Dadzie, has made a generous donation of medical supplies to healthcare facilities in the Fosu Municipality of the Central Region. The donation, which includes items such as tissue papers, medicated plasters, gloves, and hand sanitizers, aims to support private healthcare facilities in providing quality care to vulnerable populations.

Mr. Dadzie’s gesture is particularly significant given his personal connection to the facility, where he and several family members were born. He expressed his gratitude to the facility for their care and support over the years, saying, “My family owes a debt of gratitude to this facility for their multifaceted support over the years. Many of us were born here or have received exceptional medical care here.”

The CEO of Cecilia and Sammy Clinic, Madam Gina Adjei-Banin, received the donated items on behalf of the facility and expressed her appreciation to Mr. Dadzie for his kindness. She noted that the clinic has been serving the community for over three decades and has successfully facilitated 40,000 maternal births. However, she also highlighted the challenges faced by private healthcare facilities, including delays in payment of National Health Insurance claims, which can affect their ability to operate efficiently.

Mr. Dadzie’s donation is a timely intervention that will help alleviate some of the burden faced by the facility. He also urged the hospital management to maintain high standards of care, emphasizing the importance of quality healthcare in boosting patient satisfaction and loyalty. He noted, “The primary advantages of quality healthcare programmes are that they boost patient satisfaction and loyalty. Patients are more likely to trust and recommend physicians who provide excellent care that meets their requirements and expectations.”

Madam Adjei-Banin appealed to the government and the National Health Insurance Authority to settle health insurance claims promptly to ensure the efficient operation of healthcare facilities. She emphasized that private healthcare facilities play a critical role in supporting the healthcare needs of communities and that their smooth operation is essential for delivering quality care.
