CSP Apore Linda Honours Inmates for Discipline and Creativity at Ankaful Prison
As part of efforts to motivate inmates and promote discipline, hard work, creativity, and talent development, the Officer-In-Charge (OIC) of Ankaful Main Camp Prison, Chief Superintendent of Prisons (CSP) Apore Linda, has instituted a reward scheme for inmates for the year 2025.
In furtherance of this initiative, the prison on 2nd January 2026 organized an end-of-year games and recreational programme for inmates at the Ankaful Main Camp Prison. The event formed part of rehabilitation efforts aimed at encouraging positive behaviour, teamwork, and healthy competition among inmates.
The activities featured a variety of competitions, including an eating contest, football match, obstacle course, volleyball, and a singing competition. Inmates participated enthusiastically in all events, showcasing their talents, creativity, and sporting abilities in a lively and well-coordinated atmosphere.
At the end of the games, a comprehensive cell inspection was conducted to reinforce the values of hygiene, orderliness, and discipline within the prison. The inspection assessed cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of inmate living spaces.
As part of the reward package, the best overall cell was presented with a 32-inch LED television set, while the cleanest cell received an industrial wall fan. Other prizes included assorted food items, personal hygiene products, medals, and trophies for outstanding performance in the various competitions.
The initiative by CSP Apore Linda underscores the prison administration’s commitment to reformative justice, inmate motivation, and the creation of a disciplined and supportive correctional environment. It also highlights the belief that positive reinforcement plays a key role in rehabilitation and successful reintegration into society.
