The Paramount Chief of Oguaa Traditional Area, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, has once again demonstrated the strong bond between him and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. This was evident during a banquet hosted by Osabarima in honor of the Asantehene in Cape Coast, Central Region, on September 5, 2024.

“It’s a pleasure to see friends gathered here to enjoy ourselves, especially during the 60th Anniversary of the Oguaa Fetu Afahye.
The presence of Otumfuo makes this ceremony even more special. We’ve been friends for a long time, and I’m glad he’s here to join us,” Osabarima said.
Osabarima also proposed another visit by the Asantehene after the festival, saying, “I want him to come back for a relaxing visit. We’ll spend time together, swimming in the sea.”
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II revealed that November would mark 78 years since his uncle, Prempeh II, visited the Fanteland.
He explained that he had initially planned to wait until November but accepted Osabarima’s invitation to join the anniversary celebration.

“I’m here today because my brother wanted me to be part of this anniversary.
Additionally, I received an honorary doctorate degree from Cape Coast University on September 6, which coincides with the Oguaa Fetu Afahye. I’ll stay until Sunday to experience the grandeur of the Fetu Afahye,” the Asantehene said.
The banquet was a testament to the strong bond between Osabarima Kwesi Atta II and Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, showcasing their friendship and unity.
The event set the tone for the grand celebration of the Oguaa Fetu Afahye, which promises to be an unforgettable experience.
