Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of taking pleasure in Ghana’s misfortunes for political gain.
Addressing a gathering of chiefs and residents in Assin Central Constituency, criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for allegedly exploiting national misfortunes for political gain.
“The NDC appears to revel in Ghana’s misfortunes, as it aligns with their political interests,” Dr. Opoku Prempeh stated. He cited the recent power outages, saying, “The NDC failed to maintain stable power supply during their tenure but now capitalize on such incidents.”
Dr. Opoku Prempeh assured the crowd that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would not engage in deceitful tactics, unlike the NDC, who have admitted to lying during political campaigns. “Unlike the NDC, who once admitted that political campaigns are full of lies, we in the NPP will not come before you with falsehoods,” he emphasized.
He further criticized the NDC, saying, “The NDC are known to be masters of deception, capable of lying their way into the hearts of the people.” Dr. Opoku Prempeh stressed the need for the NPP to effectively communicate their achievements to counter the NDC’s alleged propensity for deception. “It is therefore crucial for the NPP to effectively communicate our good works to the Ghanaian people to keep the NDC out of their minds.”
The event was part of the NPP’s campaign tour in the Assin Central Constituency, aimed at securing votes for the party in the upcoming elections.
