The Assin North and Central constituencies in the Central Region have pledged their unwavering support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), ahead of the December elections.
This was evident during a tour of the constituencies by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP, who rallied support for Dr. Bawumia and the party’s parliamentary candidates.
Addressing gatherings in both constituencies, Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized the importance of maintaining a parliamentary majority to ensure the continuation of the NPP’s development agenda.
He encouraged voters to support Charles Opoku, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Assin North, and Godfred Nti Anewu, the party’s candidate for Assin Central.
The Assin North constituency has expressed its readiness to vote massively for the NPP, with Dr. Opoku Prempeh expressing confidence in the party’s ability to secure the seat.
In Assin Central, the chiefs and people have pledged their support for the NPP, citing the party’s impressive development record in education, healthcare, energy, and other vital sectors.
During a Youth Connect event in Assin Fosu College of Education, Dr. Opoku Prempeh highlighted the NPP’s achievements for the youth, including the Free SHS policy, restoration of nursing and teacher training allowances, and creation of 2.3 million jobs.
He urged the youth to vote decisively for the NPP, promising that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s leadership would prioritize job creation and ensure their full engagement in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The tour has been met with enthusiasm and energy, with both constituencies pledging their support for the NPP. Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s rallying cry has left no doubt that the Central Region will stand solidly behind the NPP in December.
