Nana Atta Kwakwa Agyeri Opusu, Odzikro of Gomoa Tarkwa, has urged students to prioritize their education and avoid engaging in betting and lotto gaming activities.
Speaking during a donation ceremony at Mozano Senior High School, Nana Opusu emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, and obedience to teachers. He encouraged students to focus on their studies and strive for excellence in all aspects of their academic pursuits.
He also called on the Ghana Education Service to reintroduce the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) system, which would enable parents to contribute to the development of schools. This, he believed, would help to improve the quality of education and provide students with the necessary resources to succeed.
Furthermore, Nana Opusu suggested that schools incorporate farming activities into their curriculum, enabling students to engage in agricultural projects that could help feed themselves and generate income for the schools. This, he argued, would not only provide students with practical skills but also help to promote food security and sustainability.
The Odzikro’s remarks aimed to promote a culture of responsibility and self-sufficiency among students, while also highlighting the need for collaborative efforts between parents, teachers, and the education authorities to improve the quality of education in Ghana.
Nana Opusu’s donation to Mozano Senior High School included sound speakers and other essential materials, which he hoped would enhance the learning experience for students. He encouraged the students to make good use of the donated items and to strive for excellence in all aspects of their academic pursuits.
The students and staff of Mozano Senior High School expressed their gratitude to Nana Opusu for his generosity and wise counsel. They pledged to take his advice seriously and to work hard to achieve their academic goals.
