“Stay Out of Politics” — AAK DCE Warns Essandokrom Chief

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Abura Asebu Kwamankese (AAK), Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy, has issued a strong warning to the chief of Essandokrom, urging him to stay away from partisan political commentary following recent remarks targeting President John Dramani Mahama and the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Felix Ofosu Kwakye.

This comes in the wake of a recent visit by the Parliamentary Minority Caucus to cocoa farming communities within the constituency, where statements attributed to the chief were described by the DCE and NDC executives as misleading and politically motivated.

Speaking at a press conference, Hon. Wardy firmly defended the records of both Mahama and the MP, stressing that the constituency has witnessed significant development projects within just one year and four months under their leadership.

He highlighted that several infrastructure projects, including ongoing and completed initiatives, have positively impacted communities across the district, improving livelihoods and boosting local development.

The DCE further accused the chief of making remarks that distort the development reality of the area, insisting that traditional authorities must remain neutral and focus on their cultural and unifying roles rather than engaging in partisan politics.

He demanded an unqualified apology from the chief for what he described as defamatory comments against the two political figures, warning that failure to do so would be met with a firm political response from the NDC.

Hon. Wardy also called on residents of the constituency to disregard the chief’s statements, emphasizing that they do not reflect the actual progress being made in the district.

He reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to development in AAK and cautioned against what he termed deliberate attempts to misinform cocoa farmers and the general public for political gain.
