Ebusuapanyin Nana Kwame Serebour Remains the Legitimate Family Head for Gomoa Ojobi Agona Royal family

The Agona Royal family of Gomoa Ojobi wish to inform the General public on news circulating in various news platforms which indicates that, Agona Family of Gomoa Ojobi have installed new Abusuapanyin.

We want state it categorically clear that Agona Royal Family of Gomoa Ojobi have not install any new Head of family. If there’s any Agona family that has installed new head of family, then we have no idea.

Agona Royal Family of Gomoa Ojobi had our Abusuapanyin in person of Nana Kwame Serebour . He was installed two years ago in accordance with tradition and customs. We did not just installed him but all the family members were present and involved in all decision making. The rites was done at the residence of Auntie Maggie where all the elders, kingmakers and family members were present and supporting the traditional rites.

Members of the press, The Agona Royal family of Gomoa Ojobi have only one Abusuapanyin in the person Kwame Serebour, after his appointment , other executives were equally appointed and all rites were done at the family house and they were presented and sworn Oath of allegiance to the chiefs and elders of Gomoa Ojobi Stool where Auntie Maggie was our old lady who led the delegation to the Ojobi palace and all necessary customs were performed.

Furthermore, Abusuapanyin Kwame Serebour has been performing his duties as Head of family since he was installed. He has organized over eight (8) funerals and other meetings. He has been representing the family at the Gomoa Ojobi palace for any gathering and so therefore we don’t know any Abusuapanyin except Nana Kwame Serebour who is still alive and performing his duties as tradition demands.

It quite unfortunate and we are very surprised that the false information is circulating in the media and other social media platforms indicating that a new Abusuapanyin has been installed, it’s false.

Below are names and positions of elders and executives appointed to spearhead the Agona Royal family affairs with Abusuapanyin Nana Kwame Serebour. Kobina Boadu as Okyeame, Kwame Attah as Abusua Obaatan, Kwasi Sarkwa as Secretary, Adjei Kuffour as Assistant Secretary, Ekua Gyanfua as Obuabeng family queen mothermother and Supi Kojo Adum as Asafohene.

All family members and nananom are all aware the above mentioned elders are performing their duties accordingly so if there’s any newly installed Abusuapanyin then it might be a different Agona family hence the general public are entreated to debunk the earlier publications concerning installation of a new Abusuapanyin in the area.

After their appointment all of them were made to put their signature marks on paper to agree with the position they Auntie Maggie, Kobina Boadu, Kwame Attah, Kwasi Sarkwa, Adjei Kuffour and Kojo Adum all of them signed the memorandum of understanding where copies were given to Nananom of Gomoa Ojobi stool, Gomoa Ojobi District police command, Divisional police command and Regional Police command.
