The King of Eswatini, His Majesty Mswati III, finds the leadership of the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, an exemplary model for African traditional rulers.
In a speech delivered on June 26, 2025, during a durbar to welcome him to the Kingdom, the Monarch described Otumfuo as a “visionary” leader.
“Your Majesty, your visionary leadership is a beacon for African Traditional rulers.”
His Majesty further expressed his desire to forge enhanced mutual relations with Asante.
“May the Golden Stool continue to shine and may Asantehene and Eswatini walk hand in hand preserving our heritage, modernising our traditions and building a future where our children proudly carry our culture forward.”
King Mswati was also grateful for the cultural reception.
“May we once again extend our deepest gratitude for this extraordinary event.”
