Mahama Vows to Create Jobs with Gari Processing Factory in Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa

Former President John Mahama has pledged to establish a gari factory in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa area if he wins the upcoming December 7th elections.
During his Central Region tour, Mahama highlighted the area’s abundant resources and job creation potential.
Mahama criticized the current government for mismanaging the economy and promised an NDC administration would prioritize economic growth and job creation. “A strong economy is the foundation of a prosperous country. When the economy thrives, it creates money and jobs,” he stated, assuring his audience of a renewed focus on restoring economic stability.
The Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District has a total land area of 884.84 square kilometers, with a predominantly small-scale manufacturing sector that plays a crucial role in the district’s socio-economic development.
Mahama’s plan to establish a gari factory is expected to boost the local economy and provide employment opportunities.
In addition to the gari factory, Mahama promised to develop cocoa and palm oil processing factories to further enhance local industry and employment opportunities. He also plans to work with the Ghana Exim Bank to establish the gari factory in Brakwa.
Mahama’s pledge has been welcomed by locals, who see the potential for economic growth and job creation in the area.
