Peace Restored in Kpandai Community After Clash Between Konkomba and Fulani

Calm has been restored in the Kpandai community in the Northern region after a violent clash between members of the Konkomba ethnic group and Fulani herdsmen. The conflict resulted in the destruction of several properties, including cattle and a house belonging to the Fulani chief of Kpandai.
According to reports from Channel One TV, the incident began when a Konkomba man was attacked by suspected armed robbers while returning home from work. The attackers attempted to steal his motorbike, but he resisted, sustaining cutlass wounds on several parts of his body.
The news of the attack spread quickly, and some Konkomba tribesmen retaliated by burning the house of the Fulani chief, killing his cattle, and taking the meat. The situation escalated, but the timely intervention of the police and military from Bimbilla restored peace to the area.
The District Chief Executive for Kpandai has appealed for additional security support and confirmed that the injured victim has been transferred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.
The incident highlights the ongoing tensions between the Konkomba and Fulani communities in the region, and efforts are being made to address the underlying issues and promote peaceful coexistence.
