EDA Foundation Commissions CHPS Compound, Cuts Sod for Dompim-Pumpside Road

The EDA Foundation has commissioned a fully furnished Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound and cut the sod for the construction of the Dompim-Pumpside road.
The two projects were funded from the personal resources of the Foundation’s founder, Hon. Emmanuel Danso Akonko, Assembly Member for Dompim/Pumpside and Assin Central New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Organizer.

The newly commissioned CHPS compound is expected to improve residents’ access to basic healthcare services by bringing essential medical care closer to the community.
The facility, which has been fully furnished, is expected to provide a suitable environment for healthcare professionals to attend to the medical needs of residents and contribute to improved health outcomes in the area.
In a related development, a sod-cutting ceremony was held to mark the commencement of the Dompim-Pumpside road link project.
The road project is expected to improve accessibility within the area and facilitate the movement of residents, goods and services, particularly for community members who depend on the route for their daily activities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Akonko described the occasion as fulfilling and memorable, reaffirming his commitment to supporting projects that directly improve the lives and well-being of the people of Assin Dompim.

He said the initiatives reflected his commitment to addressing the needs of the community through the EDA Foundation.
The two projects focus on healthcare and road infrastructure, which are essential services for the well-being and socio-economic activities of the beneficiary community.
The commissioning and sod-cutting ceremonies took place on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
