GINWA Donates Medical Equipment to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital

The Ghana International Nurses Welfare Association (GINWA) has donated medical equipment to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, including five wheelchairs, one hospital bed with blankets, and 55 zimmer frames.

The donation was made during a capacity-building training program for nurses, aimed at enhancing clinical competency and patient care.
The donation was received by the Acting Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services, Aimee Akotey, who commended GINWA for its commitment to improving patient care in Ghana. “This donation will go a long way in supporting the hospital’s efforts to provide quality care to its patients,” she said.

The gesture is part of GINWA’s ongoing efforts to support Ghana’s healthcare system, having previously donated medical equipment across nearly all regions.
The donation is expected to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall healthcare experience at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The hospital’s CEO, Dr. Yakubu Seidu Adam, expressed gratitude for the donation and reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to collaboration with GINWA and other partners to improve healthcare delivery in Ghana.
