Mahama’s Achievements Will Win Akwatia Seat for NDC – Chairman

The Akwatia Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. B.B. Moro, has expressed strong confidence that the legacy of former President John Dramani Mahama will propel the party to victory in the upcoming by-election.

Speaking in an interview on Rich FM, Mr. Moro emphasized the tangible developmental projects undertaken in the area during Mahama’s tenure, which he believes have left a lasting impact on the electorate.

He specifically cited three communities within the constituency that were plunged into darkness for over a year under the previous government. According to him, within just seven months of John Mahama’s administration, electricity was restored, significantly improving the quality of life for residents.

“The people remember what President Mahama did for them,” Mr. Moro stated. “Development speaks louder than promises, and Mahama’s track record is unmatched.”

Turning his attention to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Moro claimed the party is currently disorganized and lacks a clear strategy in the constituency. He alleged that the NPP resorted to a haphazard selection process, ultimately choosing Kwame Asomadu as their candidate based solely on his financial strength.

But Mr. Moro dismissed the notion that money could sway voters in Akwatia. “The people are wiser now,” he said. “They are looking for development, not handouts. The NDC has proven its commitment to the constituency, and that’s what will win hearts—not money.”

As political activity heats up in Akwatia ahead of the by-election, the NDC chairman remains optimistic that the party’s message of progress and performance will resonate strongly with voters.
