Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III: 32 Years of Serving Denkyiraman
HAPPY 32ND ANNIVERSARY TO NANA AMA AYENSUA SAARA III, DENKYIRA QUEENMOTHER.

Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III is known in private life as Dora Theresa Nanah, she swore under the Stool Name, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara lll as the fourth (4th) Denkyirahemaa at Jukwa on 30th April, 1993. She succeeded Nana Adwoa Saara II.
She swore with the great state sword of the Denkyira Kingdom, Tiahiabua at Ayekra Adeboe Stool House, Nkondwafieso at Jukwa. Denkyira has undergone several restructuring after Nana Mumumfi subjugated Nana Otibreko Asare. After Nana Kwadwo Tibo relocated the capital of Denkyira from Abankesieso to Jukwa around 1824, Denkyira have had four queenmothers including Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III.

These queenmothers chronologically are; Nana Ayensua Saara l,Nana Ebum Tiaa, Nana Adjoa Saara ll and Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III. Nana Ama Ayensua Saara lll is the first ever Denkyirahemaa to have had a formal education. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), obtained in 1999.
She pursued this academic laurel after she ascended the Great Stool. She humbled herself to go through formal education even after ascending the throne as the training was to come in handy in her role as queenmother for the great kingdom. If she is celebrating her 32nd anniversary today, it is a day of reflection on her achievements.
The female version of the Bankam Dwa is expected to hold the royal family together as a great mother, mobilise the various mmaapanin to support their various divisional chiefs to govern well, use diplomacy to encourage the various divisional chiefs to fight and protect the kingdom in the absence of the king, and also to see to the enthronement of a befitting royal to occupy the great Bankam Dwa.

Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III has served Denkyiraman in a capacity permitted by Tweneaduampon Kwame and Nananom. When we pray, may we pray for her in quest to give us a competent king who can unite all scattered Denkyiras across West Africa.
May she be given the wisdom and insight to unite the royal family of Agona Piesie (Denkyira), Agona Manu(Akyem Kotoku) and Agona Mensah (Bodwesango) as a single unit. When we pray, may we ask for wealth for her because without money, ideas and dreams remain abstract.
