Smiles and Joy: MTN Ghana’s Christmas Gift to Newborn Babies

MTN Ghana, the country’s leading telecommunications provider, has brought smiles and joy to newborn babies across the country this Christmas. As part of its annual Christmas donation, MTN Ghana donated 600 baby hampers to newborns in various hospitals across the 16 regions of Ghana.

The donation was made to 30 health facilities, with each hamper containing essential items such as baby clothing, detergent, toys, blankets, and personal care products.

At the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, Regina Arkaifie, MTN’s Human Resources Manager for Southern Ghana, and her team presented 20 hampers to babies born on Christmas Day. Mrs. Arkaifie noted that the donation was a way for MTN to show its appreciation for its customers and to make a tangible difference in the lives of families with newborns.

Since 2011, MTN has donated a total of 3,500 baby hampers on Christmas Day, demonstrating its commitment to giving back to the community.

The Deputy Chief Nursing Officer of Child Health at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, Veronica Koomson, expressed her gratitude to MTN for its generosity, stating that the donation was a testament to the company’s faithfulness to its customers.

One of the beneficiaries of the donation, Kate Egyakwa, who gave birth to twin boys on Christmas Day, was overwhelmed with joy and thanked MTN for the surprise gift. She prayed that God would bless the company for its kindness.

MTN’s donation of baby hampers is just one example of the company’s commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of its customers and the wider community.
