Abura Asebu Kwamankese District Best Farmer Urges Youth To Embrace Agribusiness

Abura Dunkwa – Mr. Isaac Adu, the 2024 District Best Farmer in Abura Asebu Kwamankese, has called on young people to venture into agriculture, citing its potential for food security, employment, and wealth creation.

Speaking exclusively to Kofi Tutu News, Mr. Adu emphasized that farming is a dignified profession that should not be shunned by the youth. “Agriculture is key to our nation’s development, and it’s time we change our negative perceptions and attitudes towards farming,” he stressed.

Mr. Adu encouraged his colleagues to establish effective working relationships with Agricultural Extension Officers to access modern farming techniques, leading to significant increases in crop yields and returns.

He commended the government for its interventions aimed at revitalizing the agricultural sector.

Mr. Adu’s appeal comes at a time when Ghana is seeking to boost food production, reduce unemployment, and alleviate poverty. By embracing agribusiness, the youth can contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development while securing their financial futures.

Mr. Adu’s success story serves as a testament to the potential of agribusiness in transforming lives and communities.

As the 2024 District Best Farmer, he has demonstrated that with hard work, determination, and the right support, farming can be a lucrative and fulfilling career.

The youth are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities available in agribusiness to acquire valuable skills, create employment opportunities, contribute to national development, and improve their socio-economic status.
