JUST IN: Ghana Freedom Party Chooses Roman Fada as New Flagbearer

The Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) has announced Roman Fada, also known as Philip Kwabena Agyemang, as its new presidential candidate following the passing of its founder, Akua Donkor.

Roman Fada, a renowned radio and TV personality, confirmed his candidacy in an interview on Accra-based Atinka FM. He had previously been chosen by Akua Donkor as her running mate for the upcoming December elections.

Roman Fada’s selection is seen as a natural transition, given his prior role and his ability to carry forward Akua Donkor’s legacy and vision for the GFP.

The GFP is expected to make an official announcement regarding Roman Fada’s candidacy soon.

This development follows Kwabena Agyeman Appiah Kubi’s expression of willingness to step in as the party’s flagbearer, should the law permit him, on October 29.

The GFP’s decision is likely to shape the country’s political landscape ahead of the December elections.

Roman Fada has over 20 years of experience in broadcasting and is well-respected in Ghana’s media industry. His leadership and communication skills are expected to be valuable assets to the GFP.

Akua Donkor’s passing was met with an outpouring of tributes from across Ghana’s political spectrum. Her legacy as a pioneering female politician and advocate for social justice continues to inspire many.

As the GFP moves forward under Roman Fada’s leadership, Ghanaians will be watching closely to see how the party’s vision and policies unfold.

The December elections are shaping up to be highly competitive, with several key parties vying for power. Roman Fada’s candidacy adds a new dynamic to the race.
