Prof. Nana Ama Brown Champions Education & Skill Development at NDC Women’s Manifesto Launch

At the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Women’s Manifesto launch, renowned educator and advocate Prof. Nana Ama Brown emphasized the critical role of education and skill development in empowering Ghanaian women.

“Education is the foundation upon which we can build a brighter future for the women of Ghana,” Prof. Brown stated. “It equips us with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of the modern world.”

Prof. Brown highlighted the NDC’s commitment to providing opportunities for women in both formal education and vocational training, positioning them to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economy.

She called for greater investment in educational infrastructure, particularly in rural areas, ensuring equal access to quality education for young girls and women nationwide.

In addition to formal education, Prof. Brown stressed the importance of skill development and vocational training for women’s financial independence. The NDC’s Women’s Development Fund will support women in starting and expanding businesses.

The NDC plans to offer specialized training programs in high-demand industries like agriculture, technology, and trade, enabling women to acquire job market skills and become entrepreneurs.

Prof. Brown emphasized the need to bridge the gap between formal education and real-world application. To address this, the NDC’s manifesto includes strengthening internship programs and industry partnerships for hands-on training and mentorship.

“Empowering women with education and skills strengthens entire communities,” Prof. Brown noted.

She urged Ghanaian women, especially youth, to seize these educational and skill development opportunities.

“On December 7th, support the NDC, the party prioritizing your education, skills, and future. Together, we’ll build a nation where every woman succeeds, regardless of background.”

The NDC Women’s Manifesto, focusing on empowerment through education, skill development, and economic opportunities, has been well-received as a blueprint for advancing women’s rights and participation in Ghana’s socio-economic development.
