Assin North DCE Urges Ghanaians to Avoid Politicizing Government’s Flagship Programs

Hon. Charles Ohene Andoh, District Chief Executive for Assin North in the Central Region, has made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to support government initiatives objectively, without political bias.
Speaking at the launch of Phase 2 of the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) program, he emphasized evaluating policies on merit, rather than through a political lens.
The Assin North Agric Department has registered 3,273 farmers into the PFJ program, with 1,277 receiving free fertilizer and Urea as part of the first batch of Phase 2.
Mr. Ohene Andoh noted that despite the government’s efforts to alleviate the people’s plight, some individuals still view initiatives politically, denying farmers benefits.
District Agric Director, Mr. Sylvester Gyebi, advised beneficiary farmers to utilize resources judiciously to boost their farms.
He encouraged the youth to leverage government agricultural initiatives to improve their living conditions and announced upcoming seed and input distribution.
Beneficiary farmers thanked the government, citing high market fertilizer costs. They emphasized making farming attractive to youth and sought sustained support to ensure the program’s success.
The launch of Phase 2 of the PFJ program aims to enhance food security, create jobs, and improve livelihoods.
The government’s commitment to agriculture is evident, and citizens are urged to embrace these initiatives without political polarization.
By supporting flagship programs objectively, Ghanaians can contribute to the nation’s progress and development.
Let us focus on the benefits and merits of these initiatives, rather than political affiliations.
