A violent clash between Form Two and Form Three students at Assin Nsuta Agricultural Senior High School (ANASS) in the Assin South District has left five students hospitalized with severe injuries.
The brawl allegedly erupted over an alleged sexual encounter between a Form Three student and a Form One student in an uncompleted building near the campus.
According to eyewitnesses, a Form Two student discovered the pair and confronted them. The Form Three student, uncomfortable with the confrontation, slapped the Form Two student, sparking a fight.
However, the Form Three student denied engaging in sexual activity, claiming they were merely conversing.
Three days later, the Form Two student sought revenge, mobilizing friends, leading to a violent confrontation resulting in multiple injuries.
Victims suffered stab wounds from scissors, clubbing, and stick injuries.
The assistant headmaster, who attempted to intervene, also sustained severe injuries.
Police promptly intervened, restoring calm on campus, and an investigation is underway.
Hon. Bashiru Kwame Amakrah, Assemblymember of Assin Nsuta-Bepokokoo Electoral Area, spoke to the media regarding the incident.
