The King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale, is embarking on a historic visit to the Nayiri, Naa Bohagu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga, the Overlord of the Manprugu Kingdom, today.
The visit, which takes place at the Nayiri’s royal palace at Nalerigu in the North East Region, aims to strengthen relations between the two kingdoms and ensure lasting peaceful coexistence.
According to a statement by the Yagbonwura’s spokesperson, Benkromwura Seidu Saaka Bakari, the two Kings will deliberate on the way forward to restoring lasting peace on the land dispute between Gonjas and Mamprusis.
This visit is significant, especially with the 2024 elections featuring sons from both kingdoms. The Yagbonwura’s visit demonstrates his commitment to fostering unity and peace among neighboring kingdoms.
