Assin Manso, Central Region – As Ghana approaches the electoral season, Nana Abena Nyarko II, Paramount Queen Mother of Assin Apimanim Traditional Area, has appealed for peaceful conduct among citizens.
In a recent gathering with the youth , Nana Abena Nyarko II emphasized the importance of harmony and tranquillity during the electoral process, stressing that peaceful elections are crucial for the community’s well-being and progress.
“The legitimacy of every king or queen rests not with the Central government, nor the police, nor the National House of Chiefs, but with you, my wonderful people,” she said.
“I offer my heartfelt thanks for your overwhelming support. Let us continue working together to restore Assin Apimanim’s rich traditions. The journey ahead is challenging, but with your unwavering support, victory will be ours.”
Nana Abena Nyarko II expressed concern about youth involvement in political violence, saying, “It’s sad to see youth fighting for unknown individuals. Their energy should build our community, not destroy it.”
She rallied the youth, saying, “You’re our nation’s future leaders. Let’s work together for a peaceful and prosperous Assin Apimanim.”
Nana Abena Nyarko II encouraged constructive dialogue, respect for differing opinions, and prioritizing collective interests.
She pledged to promote quality education and support agricultural initiatives, and tackle teenage pregnancy through Education. With her background and advocacy experience, she aims to bring industries to the area, improveing residents lives.
She says Apimanim would leverage on its resources as it partners government to provide social and economic amenities such as water, sewerage system and asphalt roads for residents.
Nana Abena Nyarko II acknowledged the importance of community support, saying, “Without your support, I can not achieve my vision. Let’s unite and work together.”
She called for peace, tolerance, and cooperation, ensuring a brighter future for Assin Apimanim.
