The Central Region office of the Electoral Commission has announced the compilation of a special voters list for security personnel, media houses, and permanent or temporary election officials in the region.
According to the a press release signed by the Regional Director Manu Sakyi, the registration process will take place from June 17th to July 1st, 2024, at the commission’s district offices in the region.
Institutional heads are directed to submit the names of officials who will be deployed on election day to the Commission’s district offices in the region. The list must be signed and stamped by the institutional heads.
In a departure from previous procedures, each officer is required to be physically present at the district office where they registered or transferred their vote to have their name added to the special voters list.
The special voting exercise is scheduled to take place on December 2nd, 2024.
