Abura Edumfa Community Severs Ties with Abura Traditional Council

The chiefs and residents of Abura Edumfa have dissociated themselves from the Paramount Chief of Abura Traditional Area, Ementsiminem Otu VII, citing insubordination and dictatorship.
Addressing a press conference, the Ebusuapanyin of the Abura Edumfa Community, Ama Akowaa, stated that the Paramount Chief has shown disrespect to the Omankrado of Abura Edumfa, Nana Ogyeahowo Akwa IV, and has threatened to destool him without any provocation.
According to Ama Akowaa, the Paramount Chief’s behavior has created fear and panic in the community, and they will no longer serve under his leadership. She warned the Paramount Chief not to enter the Abura Edumfa community, else they will take necessary actions to protect themselves.
The community members echoed Ama Akowaa’s sentiments, stating that they are united in their decision to disassociate from the Paramount Chief’s rule. They accused him of causing tension and panic in the community through his insubordinate behavior.
The development highlights the need for effective leadership and respect in traditional governance. It remains to be seen how the situation will be resolved.”
