Hon Godfred Nti Anewu, a parliamentary candidate aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Assin Central Constituency has assured youth that he will tackle the unemployment challenge in the constituency when voted to power.
He said he would prioritise job creation to deal with the youth unemployment challenge the constituency is grappling with.
In an exclusive Interview with Kofi Tutu News, Hon Godfred Nti Anewu urged the youth to have faith in his abilities, emphasizing his track record of delivering on promises.
“I want everybody to believe in me—those of you watching, to believe in me that whatever I say, by the grace of God and with good health, I deliver, one key problem, as I said and have identified, is unemployment, and to move this constituency forward, we need to make sure that we create job opportunities for the youth” Anewu stated.
According to him, there are potential areas that can employ many youths which he will focus on.
1. Capital support to existing traders
2. Capital support to prospective traders
3. Training in apprenticeship
4. Industrialization
5. Skill training
6. Business orientation seminars and training
7. Provision of inputs and equipment to farmers
8. Employment in various public services
9. Work and pay venture, etc
According to him, his leadership would hinge on the virtues of patriotism, honesty, and discipline as well.
