Assin South: We Will Vote You Out If You Don’t Fulfill Your Promises – Traders Warn Ntim Fordjour

Some residents and traders at Nyankumase Ahenkuro together with the Nyankumase Ahenkuro Youth Asociation (NAYA) in the Assin South District of the Central Region have flung a stern warning to vote out the Member of Parliament of the area and the NPP government if they continue to ignore their plight.

The angry traders bemoan the despicable nature of the market center saying is not conducive for market activities as they are forced to sell in a scorching sun, and filth coupled with erosion to make a living while they pay revenues to the district assembly.

The situation has not only prevented customers from patronizing their products but has also imposed on them different kinds of diseases.

According to them, the Member of Parliament of the area, Rev. John Ntim Fodjour who doubled as the deputy minister of education and the district assembly before the 2020 general election demolished the existing structures and promised to re-build a modern market for them but has failed to honour their promises.

They are therefore appealing to the authorities to uplift the image of the market by fulfilling their promise else they will show them down in the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, the members of the Nyankumase Ahenkuro Youth Association (AYA), lamented about bad roads, lack of proper healthcare facilities, and insecurity due to lack of accommodation for police personnel.

They said the police station in the Nyankumase Ahenkuro community is a rented house where the landlord has consistently threatened to remove them as a result of the unavailability of funds to pay the rent.
